Catching Sunrise in Bali at Pantai Karang, Sanur

There are so many ways to enjoy the beauty of the Land of Gods island, Bali. From exploring jaw-dropping waterfalls to mesmerizing its beautiful beaches, there are endless reasons to admire this island. One of my favorite activities in adoring this beautiful piece of paradise is by catching the sunrise, and I will share with you the best spot to catch it at Sanur beach in this post.

As some of you may know that in Sanur there are numbers of beautiful beaches to catch the sunrise. You can try to watch the sunrise or enjoy the morning vibes at Pantai Matahari Terbit, Sindhu, or Mertasari beach or maybe Seminyak in the morning. However, in my personal opinion, the best spot to catch it is at Pantai Karang.

Location & About Pantai Karang

Pantai Karang is located about 16 KM away from Ngurah Rai Airport. There are two ways to get to Pantai Karang if you are at the airport; take Bali Mandara toll or take By Pass Ngurah Rai straight to Sanur. If you are in Denpasar, you can pass through Renon and turn right at Hang Tuah street and follow the direction to Pantai Karang from Google Maps.

There is no entrance fee to get into the beach. You only need to pay the parking fee which only costs IDR 2,000 for motorbikes and IDR 5,000. This beach is also open for 24 hours, so you can visit this anytime. If you are planning to catch the sunrise, I highly recommend you to come around 5.30 in the morning.

Catching Sunrise at Pantai Karang, Sanur

Catching sunrise at Pantai Karang is an amazing experience in my opinion. The view is clear, and the low tide allows you to walk close to the ocean. The soothing sound of the waves also will give you a peaceful ambiance. Besides, the local's activities here can give your photo a little bit of touch of life photography. Here are some snapshots that I took on my visit there.

What I like the most at Pantai Karang is the gazebos at the ocean. If you are coming there at the right season, you also can see the mount Agung far behind which will give you a stunning panoramic view. As you can see in the above images there are few photographers hunting Sanur's superb sunrise view. Other than that, the fun activities that you can also try here at Pantai Karang are paddling, canoeing, fishing, cycling, jogging, swimming, and many more. During my visit, I took walk along the beach and found this unique starfish.

Aside from Sanur beach has been way too 'popular' to catch the sunrise, in my personal opinion, this place is still one of the most recommended places to go. Not only because of the scenic view, but also because of the plenty of fun activities to do at the beach. Other than that, this place offers a very affordable price for a great and amazing experience in Bali.
